March 9 – 12, 2000 | 8pm to midnight
Biomachines was presented as part of the 2000 Adelaide Festival, Artistic Director Robyn Archer AO. The venue was the iconic Old Hart Mill when it was still an abandoned factory sitting on the edge of the Port River.
Biomachines was as anarchic and playful post-industrial carnival of machines, performances, sound and interactive games. Part factory, part performance space, part club featuring an international and Australian line-up of artists, pseudoscientists and mechanic pranksters.
The large space featured installations where audience members could grab a drink and wander, plus performances scheduled throughout the evening. Produced and Curated by Julianne Pierce and David Cranswick featuring the following artists:
Anna Sabiel and Shane Fahey (Aust) INTERNALISED CITIES V3.0
John Kenny (Aust) THE DEVIL MAKES WORK
